Children’s Place (2-13 years of age)
One of the hardest lessons in life for young children is losing a parent or loved one. The House of Hope offers opportunities for young children to make sense of their loss and address their concerns. It is a special place where they can explore ways to express themselves through play and share with others about their experiences.
There are no time limits in participation. Children can attend support groups as long as necessary to foster healing and coping.
Teens Place (13-18 years of age)
House of Hope recognizes that teens must have an environment where they can feel safe to express themselves. Our program provides a place where teens can feel validated by their peers and share similar experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Opportunities to help teens cope with their grief process will be offered through creative, expressive arts including poetry, journaling and music.

Adult’s Place
Support groups for parents and caregivers will be provided simultaneously. The support groups will provide an opportunity to the parents to learn about their child’s grief, while at the same time they receive support to cope with their loss and learn how to help their children through their grief.
